Tasks
As part of the Leaders of Tomorrow team, you shape the core of the St. Gallen Symposium by selecting and supporting the next generation of global thinkers. You assemble the Academic Jury, consisting of 25 PhD students from HSG and 25 from ETH, and promote the Global Essay Competition through a four-week international roadshow. This includes securing appointments at top universities worldwide, doing lecture shoutouts and driving high-quality essay submissions across all channels. Based on these submissions, you select 100 of the most outstanding young talents to join the Knowledge Pool and design the full programme for all 200 Leaders of Tomorrow.
You are also responsible for key operational tasks: managing the flight and train booking process using a dedicated platform, handling visa coordination, and planning the Touristic Day. You oversee the team’s finances and ensure smooth coordination with the transportation team for airport transfers and in-town logistics during the Symposium. Accommodation, scheduling and on-site support for all Leaders of Tomorrow also fall under your responsibility. This role requires global perspective, operational precision and a commitment to delivering a world-class experience.
Benefits
The International Students’ Committee is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You go on a four-week journey across a continent, visiting top universities and speaking in front of audiences of up to 700 people – a real boost for your public speaking and confidence. You meet 200 of the most inspiring young minds from around the world and build a team spirit with people you can truly count on.
Beyond that, you get a framework that lets you grow where it matters most – whether it’s handling stress, improving your teamwork, levelling up your English or German, or simply building better habits. You work towards something big and meaningful, and the sense of purpose and motivation that comes with it is unmatched. And yes, there are also a lot of perks: free food, drinks, merch and clothes throughout the year.
