Romeo Lacher

Romeo Lacher assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at Julius Baer in April 2019. In addition to this role, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Bank Council at the Swiss National Bank. From 2016 to 2020, Mr Lacher held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at SIX Group AG, where he had previously served as Vice Chairman from 2008 to 2016. Prior to his tenure at SIX Group, he dedicated 26 years to Credit Suisse, where he held various management positions. His final role at Credit Suisse was COO International Wealth Management, and he was a member of the IWM Management Committee. Mr Lacher holds a degree in business administration from the University of St.Gallen and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the same institution. He also completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
