Prof. Karolin Frankenberger

Prof. Karolin Frankenberger holds multiple roles at the University of St.Gallen, serving as the Academic Director of the Executive MBA, the Director of the Institute of Management and Strategy, and as Professor in strategy and innovation. Furthermore, she was recently appointed to lead the Executive School of Management, Technology & Law from February 2024. Her research focuses on the topics of (digital) business transformation, ecosystems, business model innovation, and circular economy, has won several awards, and appears regularly in top-tier academic and practitioner-oriented journals. Additionally, Prof. Frankenberger co-authored the internationally bestselling book “The Business Model Navigator” and supports company leaders from numerous industries worldwide in their strategy and innovation challenges. Prior to her academic career, she worked at McKinsey & Company from 2004 to 2011. Prof. Frankenberger holds a PhD from the University of St.Gallen.
