Andreas Aepli

Andreas Aepli has been serving as Chief Financial Officer of Climeworks since 2021, a company dedicated to removing historic and unavoidable CO2 emissions from the air by employing direct air capture technology. In collaboration with its partner firms, the CO2 is geologically stored deep underground for thousands of years. Prior to joining Climeworks, Mr Aepli worked for 12 years for the Swiss Engineering Group Bühler in General Management and Finance roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, most recently helping to build the world’s first industrial plant for making sustainable proteins from insects. Andreas Aepli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen and an MBA from INSEAD.
