Lisa Yasko

Speaker at the St. Gallen Symposium

Lisa Yasko is a member of the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine), where she serves as Head of Interparliamentary Cooperation, Bilateral and Multilateral Relations, and is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. She is also a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and served as Head of the Ukrainian delegation from 2019 to January 2021. In addition to her governmental roles, Ms. Yasko is the founder of Yellow Blue Strategy, an NGO that supports Ukraine's recovery and promotes the development of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy, creative economy, creative education, and public policy. Relatedly, she has over 10 years of experience advocating for Ukraine through public diplomacy projects abroad, including those that have received international awards such as Cannes Lions, Sabre, and others. In 2016, she was a scholar of the Caux Scholar Program, Initiative of Change, in Switzerland. From 2014 to 2015, Ms. Yasko was a scholar of the European Forum Alpbach and represented Ukraine at a Clinton Global Initiative University international young leaders program in 2014. Ms. Yasko was the first Ukrainian to earn a Master of Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford and served as President of the Oxford University Ukrainian Society from 2016 to 2017. In addition to her degree from Oxford, Ms. Yasko also holds an MA and BA in Political Science from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
