Editorial Team

The Editorial Team, made up of students in the fields of journalism, illustration, photography and videography, will cover the 51st St. Gallen Symposium taking place from 5‒6 May 2022. This conference enables a cross-generational dialogue between today’s leaders and the next generation on this year’s topic «Collaborative Advantage».

For the first time the St. Gallen Symposium will take place not only in St. Gallen but also in two hubs and in various Swiss embassies all around the globe.

Your role as a journalist, illustrator, photographer or videographer

Schedule

You have the opportunity to join an international team of journalists from 2–7 May 2022.  There will also be online meetings in March and April 2022 to prepare for the work in St. Gallen or one of our hubs.

Purpose

After your work is completed, the articles will be posted on our website, as well as on our social media channels. Some articles will be published in broschures about the
St. Gallen Symposium. Your goal during the St. Gallen Symposium is, first and foremost, to report on the ongoing symposium by providing our participants with key notes which were worked out during the session. The interviews are extremely important; they should portray our speakers’ lives, opinions about, and solutions to the symposium’s topic. Last but not least, it includes reports on the history of our 50 year initiative.

Your Tasks

As a journalist, your tasks include coverage of our sessions and interviews with prominent speakers, as well as behind-the-scenes reports on the conference itself. As an illustrator or photographer, you would ensure that our articles are enriched with suitable pictures and visuals. Take a look at last year’s Magazine edition to get first impressions. As a videographer your task is to capture the Symposium for our official after movie.

Benefits

To sum it all up: This project adds to your journalistic track record while giving you the opportunity to interact with today’s decision-makers and future leaders. In addition, we cover all expenses for traveling and lodging.
