Kęstutis Budrys

Kęstutis Budrys has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania since 2024. Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for shaping and implementing the country’s foreign and security policy within the EU and NATO frameworks. In his role, he oversees Lithuania’s diplomatic strategy, international partnerships, and security cooperation. Previously, he was Chief National Security Adviser to the President of Lithuania, Head of the National Security Group, Secretary of the State Defence Council, and Chairman of the Intelligence Coordination Group. He also served as Deputy Director of the State Security Department and as Presidential Advisor on intelligence and defence policy. Minister Budrys holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from Vilnius University and completed internships in the United States and Canada.
