Eckart von Hirschhausen

Eckart von Hirschhausen is a German physician, science journalist, TV host and author. In 2020, he founded Healthy Planet – Healthy People (Gesunde Erde – Gesunde Menschen), raising awareness of the link between human and planetary health with a focus on climate action. He is known for his work with ARD - Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. In 2021, he published the bestselling book “Mensch, Erde! Wir könnten es so schön haben” on climate and health. He is an honorary member of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, a member of the Club of Rome, and an honorary professor in Marburg. He studied medicine and science journalism in Berlin, London, and Heidelberg.
