Burkhard Varnholt

Burkhard P. Varnholt is Managing Director and Senior Financial Markets Advisor at UBS Global Wealth Management. In this role, he advises large investors globally on financial markets, drawing on over 30 years of investment experience. Previously, he served as Global Chief Investment Officer at Credit Suisse and held senior leadership roles across leading private banks. In addition to his professional work, he is active as a trustee, including chairing the Investment Committee of the Credit Suisse Group Pension Fund, and founded the charity “Kids of Africa.” He has been recognized with the Swiss Re Civilian Services Prize. Varnholt holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen and an honorary doctorate in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy.
