Bruno Maçães

Bruno Maçães is a Portuguese philosopher, journalist, politician, consultant, and author. He has authored several books, including "The Dawn of Eurasia," "Belt and Road: A Chinese World Order," "History Has Begun," and "Geopolitics for the End Time." His insights are regularly featured in publications like the New Statesman, where he serves as a columnist. Prior to this, he served as Portugal's Secretary of State for European Affairs from 2013 to 2015, representing his country during pivotal events such as the eurozone crisis, the first Ukraine war, and Brexit. He is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Advisory Council for the Brussels Institute of Geopolitics. Dr Maçães earned his doctorate in political science from Harvard University.
