Prof. Christoph Frei

Speaker at the St. Gallen Symposium

Christoph Frei is an Associate Professor at the University of St.Gallen since 2007, where he specializes in the history of political ideas and international relations theory. He is known for his intellectual biography of Hans J. Morgenthau, a founding father of the ‘Realist’ school of International Relations in the United States. Prof. Frei studied political science at the University of St. Gallen. After completing his studies, he worked as an Assistant for Prof. Alois Riklin in the political science institute of the University of St. Gallen. Following this position, Prof. Frei completed two research stays in the US and in Paris. Between 2009 and 2018 he was the Programme Director of the Bachelor of International Affairs and Master of International Affairs Programme.
