Prof. Johannes Schöning

Prof. Johannes Schöning is Professor of Computer Science at the University of St. Gallen, where he leads the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) group. At the University of St. Gallen, he heads research, teaching and innovation in HCI, geoinformatics and user interfaces. Previously he was Professor at the University of Bremen, where he founded the Bremen HCI research group under a Lichtenberg Professorship. He has also held visiting or affiliated positions at Hasselt University (Belgium), UCL (UK) and Portugal’s Interactive Technologies Institute (I-TI). He earned his PhD in Computer Science from Saarland University (2010).
