Michael Rauchenstein is News Anchor of the main edition of the SRF - Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen Tagesschau and Editor in the SRF foreign affairs department. In his current role, he covers international politics and European affairs and previously served as SRF’s EU and Benelux correspondent in Brussels. Earlier, he worked as a television journalist in Berlin and held editorial roles including Arena editor and video desk journalist. He began his career as a TV host and video journalist at Zentralschweizer Fernsehen Tele 1 AG and completed an internship at the Eidgenössisches Departement für auswärtige Angelegenheiten. Michael Rauchenstein holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin and a Bachelor’s degree from Universität Luzern.
