Mato Njavro

Mato Njavro has served as Dean of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management since 2021, having previously held the role of Associate Dean since 2020. In this role, he oversees the academic and strategic development of the institution. He is also Professor at the Luxembourg School of Business and Senior Research Fellow at the University of St. Gallen. Previously, he was a Lecturer at Singapore Management University and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science. Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Professor at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management and as Research Associate at the Asia Research Centre at the University of St. Gallen. He began his professional career with an internship in Investment Banking at Nomura in London. He holds a PhD in International Finance from the University of St. Gallen, a Master in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi and a degree in International Economics and Management from Bocconi University.
