Silke Mischke

Silke Mischke is a Senior Leadership Advisor and Lecturer at IMD and EPFL. At IMD, she also serves as Co-Director of the Executive Coaching Certificate programme and teaches leadership in the Master in Sustainability Management (E4S), a joint programme by IMD, EPFL, and UNIL. Her work focuses on leadership development through the lens of emotional intelligence, with a strong emphasis on inclusive leadership practices and their role in advancing gender equality. Prior to her current roles, Silke coached and taught leaders and teams from a wide range of international organisations, guiding their development through individual and collective learning journeys. Her professional experience bridges leadership consulting, teaching, and executive development. In addition to her teaching and advisory roles, she contributes to research and thought leadership on how emotional and social competencies shape equitable leadership, organisational culture, and sustainable performance. Through her work, she challenges traditional leadership models and highlights the impact of gender dynamics on effective leadership behaviour. Silke holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology.
