Prof. Tomas Casas Klett

Speaker at the St. Gallen Symposium

Tomas Casas Klett is a Professor at the University of St.Gallen’s Research Institute for International Management (FIM) and the Director of the China Competence Center. He also serves as the Index Director and Co-Author of the Elite Quality Index (EQx2023), a global political economy index. Additionally, he collaborates with the St. Gallen Symposium on its sub-index, the NextGen Value Creation Barometer. Prof. Casas Klett frequently leads international executive education programmes and courses at leading business schools in China, including Tsinghua SEM, Fudan University FDSM, and Shanghai Jiaotong University Antai. He graduated with honors from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining in parallel a Japanese language degree from Sophia University in Tokyo. Prof. Casas Klett later earned a Master's degree in Management from Fudan University in Shanghai and a PhD in Economics from the University of St.Gallen.
