Jason Thielman
Speaker at the St. Gallen Symposium
Jason Thielman currently holds the position of Executive Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), where he plays a pivotal role in supporting Republican senators across the nation and retaking the Senate Majority in 2024. He has been an influential presence in the political sphere, serving as the top aide to Senator Steve Daines since Daines’ initial election to Congress in 2012. A proud native of Montana, Jason Thielman embarked on his professional journey as a Marketing Officer with Union Bank and Trust. However, his dedication and leadership skills quickly propelled him into the realm of politics. By 2001, he had assumed the role of Chief of Staff under former Montana Secretary of State Bob Brown. Jason’s work with Senator Steve Daines began in 2012, when he took on the pivotal role of Campaign Chairman during Daines’ bid for the U.S. House. Daines’ victory marked the beginning of a longstanding partnership, as Thielman remained by his side and stepped into the role of Chief of Staff. When Senator Daines embarked on his successful campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2013, Jason continued as Daines’ lead strategist, providing critical guidance in his capacity as Chief of Staff. When Senator Daines was elected by his peers as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Thielman was tapped as Daines’ executive director. In this role, Jason oversees all operational aspects of the NRSC with the mission of flipping the Senate back to Republican control. Jason resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife, Erin, and their three children, Alexander, Abigail, and Andrew.
