René Obermann

René Obermann is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Airbus and Managing Director and Co-Head of Europe of Warburg Pincus Germany. Additionally, he is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at IONOS Group, a leading European web hosting and cloud company, and a Member of the Board of Directors at ISAT Connect Bidco (the holding company for the Inmarsat group). Prior to joining Warburg Pincus as an investment partner in 2015, Mr. Obermann was CEO of Ziggo BV in the Netherlands (2014) and CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG from 2006-2013, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the world. René Obermann has also previously served as a member of the Board of various companies, including Allianz Deutschland, Spotify, and Telenor. In 2013 Mr. Obermann was appointed Officer of the French Légion d'honneur.
