Prof. Heike Bruch

Heike Bruch is a Professor of Leadership at the University of St. Gallen, where she also serves as the Director of the Institute for Leadership and Human Resources Management. She is the Founder of the energy factory, and is also a Member of the Executive Board of the DGFP (German Association for Leadership). Prior to joining the University of St. Gallen, Bruch worked as a Visiting Scholar and later as a Senior Research Fellow at the London Business School from 1999 to 2001. Bruch's research interests include energy and speed in organisations, inspiring leadership, new work transformation, and leaders' self-leadership. In her work, she emphasizes research-based evidence, big data, and analytics to achieve impact in leadership practice and business performance for purpose. Bruch is a sought-after speaker and advisor to top managers of international organizations on leadership and culture transformation. She has received numerous academic awards and has authored six books, edited another six, and written over 110 articles and book chapters. Bruch holds a habilitation from the University of St. Gallen (2001), a doctorate from the University of Hanover (1996), and a master's degree in Business Administration from the Free University of Berlin (1991).
