James Heappey

James Heappey is a former UK Minister of State for the Armed Forces and Minister for Defence Procurement. He currently serves as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at M&C Saatchi World Services and acts as Strategic Advisor to Serco and Senior Advisor to Helsing, AECOM, and HPO Technologies. Previously, he was a Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons, representing the Wells constituency, and held several senior government roles, including Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister and to the Secretary of State for Transport. Earlier in his career, he was a commissioned officer in the British Army, reaching the rank of Major and serving in operational and staff roles with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Birmingham.
