Prof. Sebastian Kernbach

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kernbach is Professor affiliated with the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Stellenbosch University and Stanford University. He researches, teaches and consults at the intersection of Life Design, career transitions, innovation, and responsible leadership. His work focuses on how individuals and organizations can navigate uncertainty, longevity, and rapid technological change with greater psychological resilience and purpose. He is the author of Design Your Future: The Innovative Career and Transition Guide, published by Cambridge University Press. He works with organizations such as NASA, the UN, ECB and others to support people at all ages and stages to proactively shape their future. He is the Academic Director of the HSG Mentoring Program, the Life Design Executive Programs and the first European mid-career transition program called NEXT. He holds degrees in Communications from the University of Lugano and Copenhagen Business School.
