Tim Kramer

Tim Kramer has taught in the contextual studies programme at the University of St. Gallen since 2010 and assumed the directorship of SQUARE at the University of St.Gallen in August 2024. Previously, he served as Artistic Director and Head of Academic Operations at the Theaterakademie August Everding from 2022 to 2024, and as Director of Drama at Theater Magdeburg from 2019 to 2022 and at Theater St. Gallen from 2007 to 2016. As a director, he has led productions at institutions including Theater Magdeburg, the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Volkstheater Wien, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Theater Konstanz, the Salzburger Landestheater, TAK Liechtenstein, Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, and Theater St. Gallen. Earlier in his career, he performed as an actor at venues such as the Burgtheater, Volkstheater, and Schauspielhaus in Vienna, the Salzburg Festival, the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, and the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern. Additionally, Mr Kramer held a teaching position at the Max Reinhardt Seminar for six years and served as Head of the Acting Department at the Konservatorium Wien for three years. He received his training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart and the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna.
