Manfred Lütz

Dr. Manfred Lütz is a German psychiatrist, psychotherapist, Roman Catholic theologian, Vatican advisor and bestselling author. From 1997 to 2019, he served as Chief Physician of the Alexianer Hospital in Cologne, a leading clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and neurology. There he founded the “Alexianer Therapy Forum” and helped shape modern psychiatric care. Previously, he worked as senior physician in several psychiatric hospitals and specialized in neurology, psychiatry and psychotherapy. Lütz is a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and has advised various Vatican dicasteries. He has received awards such as the Corine Literature Prize and was named Knight of the Order of St. Gregory in 2010. He studied medicine, philosophy and Catholic theology in Bonn and Rome.
