Bruno Le Maire

Bruno Le Maire served as France’s Minister of the Economy and Finance from 2017 to 2020 and subsequently as Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty until 2024. In this role, he oversaw France’s economic, financial and industrial policy. Prior to this, he was a Member of the French National Assembly for the Eure constituency. Earlier in his career, he served as Minister of Agriculture and as Secretary of State for European Affairs. He also worked as Director of the Cabinet of the French Prime Minister and as political advisor within the French government. Earlier, he served in several advisory roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior. Bruno Le Maire studied at the École normale supérieure, Sciences Po and the École nationale d’administration (ENA).
