Jason Thielman

Speaker at the St. Gallen Symposium

Jason Thielman is Chief of Staff to Senator Steve Daines, a member of the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) for the 2024 election cycle, where he played a pivotal role in securing the Republican Senate Majority. Mr Thielman has been an influential figure in Republican politics, serving as Senator Daines’ top aide since Daines’ initial election to Congress in 2012. A proud native of Montana, he began his professional career as a Marketing Officer with Union Bank and Trust before transitioning into politics. By 2001, he had assumed the role of Chief of Staff under former Montana Secretary of State Bob Brown. His work with Senator Daines began in 2012 when he served as Campaign Chairman during Daines’ successful bid for the U.S. House. Following the election, Mr Thielman became Daines’ Chief of Staff, continuing to play a key strategic role as Daines successfully ran for the U.S. Senate in 2013. When Senator Daines was elected Chairman of the NRSC, Thielman was tapped as Executive Director, overseeing all operational aspects of the committee with the mission of reclaiming the Senate majority. Jason resides in Alexandria, VA, with his wife, Erin, and their three children, Alexander, Abigail, and Andrew.
