George Mwanza

George Mwanza was elected Mayor of Chipata, Zambia, as an independent candidate in 2021, currently serving as the youngest mayor in the Southern African Region. In addition to his mayoral duties, Mr Mwanza is an active member of the Young Elected Officials of Africa (YELO Network). In October 2022, he was elected Vice-President for Southern Africa, with a mission to unite Africa through the transformation of local governments. Mr Mwanza is an advocate for youth empowerment, firmly believing that the younger generation must play a significant role in shaping the political landscape.
